KARACHI: The Sindh government has called on the provincial government to allow airborne ambulances booked by veteran comedian and actor Umer Sharif to enter Pakistan.
In a letter to the Treasury on Monday, the Sindh Department of Health said Sindh would bear the full cost of an air ambulance.
However, issues related to airspace and aviation fall under the coalition government, read the letter.
According to the letter, the health department has called on the provincial government to resolve all air ambulance issues as soon as possible. Meanwhile, sources say the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has not received a request regarding the entry of an air ambulance to Pakistan.
In a letter to the finance ministry, the Sindh government called for the release of the Foreign Exchange Budget 2021-22.
According to the letter, the province has requested that “$ 169,800 (equivalent to Rs28,498 million) be deducted from the current 'Invisible' cost of On Call International LLC, II Manor Parkway Salem NH 0309, due to the cost of an air ambulance. to Umer Sharif, a famous artist in the 2021-22 financial year. ”
